EDB / EDC servo-drivers

Servo drives of EDB / EDC series have a power range from 750W to 5kW and from 200W to 1kW, respectively. Intelligent Power Modules IPM of industrial category are applied in EDB / EDC series, they have the greater productivity than a similar classmates with the same capacity. The features of servo drives include the ability to endure the high overloads, the high starting torque and the reduction function of vibration.



The ability to endure the high overloads

Servo drives of EDB / EDC series use Intelligent Power Modules IPM of industrial category with the greater power than ordinary servo drives with the same capacity. Moreover, such servo drives can endure the stronger overloads, they have the reduction function of vibration and a greater starting torque. Servo drives with the capacity of 1.5kW can endure the triple overload, and models with the power higher of 2kW at the rated shaft speed  endure a load of 2.5 times higher than normal.

Most modern high-speed DSP* are used to achieve the high-speed signal transmission and the greatest precision of servo drive. Due to complicated algorithms of visual control, feedforward and feedback control of signals and smoothing methods of signal failures - the characteristics of dynamics and stability are better in these servo drives than the models with ordinary PI control. Servo drives have a high degree of feedback, high accuracy and speed, and signal stability. Work with servo drives is simplified by the function of automatic parameter settings.

Communication interface

The standard CAN bus interface is available in the servo drives of EDC series that simplifies the integration of noise control system. Based on Modbus protocols of communication lines RS485 or RS232, the host can communicate with 32 servo drives to control the network, and signal transmission distance can reach a maximum of 1200 meters (using the communication lines RS485). Moreover, the host can communicate with the PLC**, DCS***, programming devices, touch screens and other devices of the centralized monitoring.

Control Settings. Fast and easy control of such operations as the editing, transmission, comparison and initialization.
Monitoring. Real-time monitoring of all I/O signals, notes of received alarms and protocols, system status, etc.
Real-time discretization. Discretization of speed and load diagrams happens in real time using the equipment of settings and analysis.
Setting. Possibility of coefficients fast settings. When data about the location of the signal and velocity is absent, some simple tests can be performed.

Interface

Single axle positioning function

Positioning function for a single 16-node axis is installed inside servo drive and the touch screen can be connected directly to RS485 interface. Current versions of PLC are much cheaper than previous versions. By using the touch screen, users can easily program the position of nodes, speed, acceleration and delay of the time flow, the waiting times, work beginning and the end, and all this information can be transmitted to servo drive by using RS485 interface.

Users can: choose absolute or incremental value for programming, and also select the required tasks range; use the search function of the reference point and assign the speed of I / O search data; use an external signals for a data step change. Users can also develop their own software applications.
