Guideways WE

The design of linear guideways of WE series suggests a wide rail profile, where the contact point between the rolling bearings and circulation path is 45 degrees. Due to this, the guideway is able to withstand the high loads, torque and rigidity. The profile guideway of WE series has such a feature, as self-regulation, that prevents the most of installation errors. Under the conditions of linear movement in the limited space requiring high inertia moments, we offer the linear guideways of WE series with a low profile and low center of gravity.



● Rotation system of the balls: carriage, rail, end cap and retainer.
● Lubrication system: grease nipple and oil adapter.
● Dust proof: end seal, bottom seal, screw cap, double seal and scraper.

 



Accuracy classes

Accuracy classes of WE series are classified into:

  • - normal (C),
  • - high (H),
  • - precision (P),
  • - super precision (SP),
  • - ultra precision (UP).
The choice depends on the equipment requirements

Preload

Preload QH

Definition

The preload can be set for each profile rail guideway. For this purpose oversized balls are used. Usually a negative clearance between the rolling surface and balls is used in the profile rail guideways for increase of the rigidity and accuracy. The curve shows that rigidity doubles with the strong preload. To avoid premature wear of the system, the preload over ZA type is not recommended for profile guideways, size of which is less than 20.

There are three types of standard preload for different application conditions.

Standard and maximum rail length

 

Hiwin offers a standard rail length to the needs of the client. For non-standard length E recommended size should not exceed 1/2 of the pitch (P). It prevents the instability of the rail end.
